Description

Skilled Maintenance Assistant with a strong background in structural trades to maintain our hospitality and residential properties. This role focuses heavily on the structural integrity and aesthetic finish of the property. You will handle everything from tile replacement and masonry repairs to carpentry work and plumbing fixes. Your expertise will ensure our guest rooms, apartments, and common areas remain in premium condition.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in tiling, masonry, carpentry, or general civil construction.
  • Technical Mastery: Proven ability to cut tiles cleanly, mix mortar/grout, cut wood accurately, and solder or seal plumbing joints.
  • Precision Work: Strong attention to detail to ensure finishes match existing aesthetics seamlessly (crucial for hotel environments).
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy materials (such as cement bags or tile crates up to 50 lbs) and work on scaffolding or ladders.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Proficient with specialized trade tools, including tile cutters, masonry trowels, circular saws, and pipe wrenches.

Responsibilities

  • Tiling & Flooring: Replace cracked or loose tiles, repair grout lines, fix caulking in bathrooms/kitchens, and patch damaged flooring.
  • Masonry & Civil Works: Repair damaged concrete, patch exterior/interior brickwork, fix plaster, and restore stucco or stone surfaces.
  • Carpentry Maintenance: Repair or replace wooden doors, door frames, window casings, cabinetry, hardware, and baseboards.
  • Plumbing Fixes: Address leaks behind walls, repair or replace pipes, clear severe clogs, and install new bathroom and kitchen fixtures.
  • Drywall & Painting: Patch holes in walls, apply plaster or joint compound, sand smooth, and match paint finishes perfectly.
  • Waterproofing: Inspect and repair seals, caulking, and waterproofing layers to prevent structural water damage in wet areas.
  • Preventative Inspections: Walk the property daily to identify structural wear, structural settling, masonry cracks, or loose tiles before they become hazards.
